The Company
United Response is a charity that was founded to respond to a need. People with learning disabilities and autistic people were being forced into long-stay institutions and denied the right to build their own lives and homes, connected to friends, family and all that life has to offer. So we created places people could be supported to live the lives they wanted to, building networks of support within a community.
Over the last 50 years we’ve grown from these grassroots. We embraced a creative, flexible spirit that enabled us to develop innovative support for people across the country.
United Responses’ culture of inclusion, and our focus on health and wellbeing and working models helps ensure that everyone – regardless of background – feels included and can be the best they can be.
United Response is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. We are committed to the Mindful Employer values and are a Disability Confident Leader, providing support to applicants with mental and or physical disabilities including guaranteeing an interview for disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria.
